Disoriented

The paintings by Thomas de Leliwa deal with the overloading of the individual and an unease that as the bombardment of more and more information from everywhere around grows it could lead to an omnipresent feeling of distress. The current crises (COVID-19, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the climate crisis, etc.) deepen that disquiet, while the time span available to react to and digest information and images becomes ever shorter. De Leliwa works with these phenomenon of overstimulation and the conditions brought with them. He artistically investigates these occurrences through painting and turns them into the starting point for his compositions. kafayı yemek
